Bio
Caroline Wright Pfisterer is a dedicated musician
and educator currently pursuing a Doctor of
Musical Arts in Wind Conducting at the University
of Georgia. With a 4.0 GPA throughout both her
doctoral studies and her Master’s degree from the
University of Alabama, she has excelled in various
leadership roles, including Assistant Director of
Festivals Band and Doctoral Conducting Associate.
Caroline’s conducting experience spans a wide
range of ensembles, from the Wind Ensemble to
the Redcoats Marching Band, and she has taught
courses such as Introduction to Conducting and
Instrumental Techniques. She is also deeply
involved in community music education, having
served as a clinician and coordinator for honor
bands and workshops.
An accomplished conductor, Caroline has
performed internationally and received numerous
accolades, including the Osborne Fellowship and
the Mike Moss Conducting Grant. With a passion
for nurturing young musicians, she combines her
extensive teaching experience with a commitment
to excellence, fostering creativity and collaboration
in her students.
My approach
I have always been captivated by
musicality's intricacies and the power of
storytelling. My approach to crafting
compelling and unforgettable concerts is
rooted in my passion for creating
thought-provoking and immersive
community experiences that leave a
lasting impact on the audience. I look
forward to continuing to craft gripping
rehearsals and events that challenge,
entertain, and push the boundaries of
music education.

Cajun Folk Songs is composed as a tribute to the
people of the old Cajun folk song culture with the
hope that their contributions will not be forgotten.

Shenandoah
Shenandoah is one of the most well-known and
beloved American folk songs. Originally a river
song detailing the lives and journeys of fur traders
canoeing down the Missouri River, the symbolism
of this culturally significant melody has been
expanded to include its geographic namesakes.

Salvation is Created
Salvation Is Created is a choral work composed by
Pavel Tchesnokov in 1912. It was one of the very
last sacred works he composed before he was
forced to turn to secular arts by the Soviet
government.

During this rehearsal, Caroline felt the
ensemble was experiencing a moment of
‘drag’ or lack of intentionality. They were able
to change the direction of the rehearsal to
work on motivation, and remember their ‘why’
is.
This guide emphasizes the importance of
preparing a brief introduction and key talking
points for your first concert director, focusing
on establishing rapport with parents,
explaining concert etiquette, and highlighting
students' achievements.
Caroline was recognized as a top graduate in
the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social
Sciences at Southeastern Louisiana University,
highlighting her exceptional academic
achievements. This honor reflects her
commitment to excellence and her contributions
to the university community.
